Jeremy Ley, DVM

Veterinarian & Co-Owner

Dr. Ley attended Colorado State University where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001. Upon graduation, he returned to Cañon City to join father Dr. Donald Ley at the clinic where he thoroughly enjoys the never boring aspect of a mixed animal general practice. He and his wife Sarah have three children, Madelyn, Jackson, and Olivia and a stable of animals currently including Remy, the lab; Grit and Abner, their trusty horses; Mouse, a brown Swiss cow; Gabby and Tucker, fearless mouse hunters; and an ever changing population of goldfish.

Samantha Menegatti, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Menegatti graduated from Colorado State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2006 (now 1 of 6 "Ley Family Vets" to graduate from CSU!). Dr. Menegatti joined her father, Donald Ley, and brother, Jeremy Ley, at Fourmile Vet where she practiced full time for 2 years. She and her husband Jeff live at the base of the beautiful Spanish Peaks along with their son Joe, and furry family of dogs, cats, horses, and cows. Dr. Menegatti now practices part time at Fourmile and serves as a relief veterinarian for several practices in the Southern Colorado region.

Doug Nicodemus, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Doug Nicodemus graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2011., Doug and hif wife, fellow veterinarian Maranda, began working at Fourmile in 2016. They also welcomed their son Easton to their family in 2015. They have three dogs: Marley the Pointer, Roper the Aussie, and Badger the Dachshund. Together they enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and snowboarding!

Maranda Nicodemus, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Maranda Nicodemus graduated from the University of Tennessee where she received her DVM in 2012. Maranda and her husband, fellow veterinarian Doug, began working for Fourmile in May of 2016. In March 2015, Doug and Maranda added little Easton to their family, who keeps them busy at all times! Their family is completed by three dogs: Marley the Pointer, Roper the Aussie, and Badger the Dachshund. Doug and Maranda enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, snowboarding, and pretty much any outdoor activity.

Sarah McGinniss, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Sarah McGinniss earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019 from Colorado State University. Originally from Cañon City, Dr. McGinniss is excited to return and help the community take care of their small and large animal needs at Fourmile Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, Arie, cats, Zinny and Pippin, and horses, Cricket and Mousse in her spare time. If the sun is shining you can find her outside! Sarah is an avid outdoorswoman and loves hiking, skiing, riding and showing horses, training colts and so much more.
